1. Can my job be shipped or delivered?
    A: Yes, we offer delivery inside Tucson, Arizona, and it can be shipped to anywhere using whatever carrier you prefer.

  2. What format or file types will you accept art files?
    A: We accept any of the following formats: .pdf, .jpg, .tif, .eps, .indd, .ps, .gif, .ppt, .ai, .psd, .pub, .qxd, .pmd, .doc, .xls, .sit, .zip, .sea
    Double check that your file extension matches one of the above types listed.
    Make sure that you include all of your files and fonts.

  3. How do I prepare my files for upload?
    A: When you have a file to upload, first you should make a folder that includes all of the pieces that are a part of your file. Make sure that all of the pictures, logos and fonts are included in the folder, if there is a piece missing or a font missing, then we will not be able to print from your file. Some programs such as In Design and QuarkXpress, and some versions of Pagemaker have a “collect for output” or “Save files for output” setting under the file menu, this is helpful, it will create a folder for you. After you have all of your pieces together in your folder, simply upload your folder.

  4. How do I create a .pdf file?
    A: A pdf file is a portable data file, it is preferred as far as format for its integrity. There are several ways to create a pdf file, some programs will allow you to export to .pdf (InDesign, QuarkXpress), and others you may have to print to pdf, you do this by going to your print dialog box as usual, but instead of your usual printer, you will choose adobe pdf as your print driver, if this option is not available, then you may not be able to print to pdf. If your file is in Adobe Illustrator, you can just save as a pdf.

  5. What is a bleed?
    A: A bleed happens when you have a background or picture which covers the entire printed piece. When these pieces are printed, we need .125 in. extra picture area all the way around so that when we go to cut the piece down there is no white space around the picture. In other words, if you have a business card which measures 3.5 in. x 2 in. the picture in the background would measure 3.75 in. x 2.25 in.

  6. What is a proof?
    A: A proof is simply a final representation of how your piece will look printed, there is a Matchprint-which is an actual exact color proof, or a Blueline which is used more for placement, or we can send you a .pdf proof to your email address. In every case you always have a choice of what kind of proof you would prefer. It is presented in order for the client to do a final check of spelling and placement, nothing will be printed without a final approval.

  7. What is a PMS color?
    A: A PMS color is a color that is part of the Pantone Matching System. This system is worldwide, and has a precise recipe in order to mix the ink. This matching system ensures that every color by one name will always be just what the customer had in mind.

  8. What is a spot color?
    A: A spot color is a color that is not specified in the digital file as to exactly what color it will be printing, it is usually saved as 100% cyan, magenta, yellow or black.

  9. What is 4-color process?
    A: 4-color process is a process that breaks down every color into 4 colors-Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. These four colors make up every color, it is also sometimes referred to as “CMYK”.

  10. How long does it take to complete my order?
    A: There is no short answer to this question. Some jobs can be produced in minutes and other jobs may take days. Let us know when you need your job completed and we’ll let you know if it can be done in this amount of time. We go to great lengths to ensure quality and meet stringent deadlines.
